OPP stop truck, find 843 lbs. of marijuana inside

The OPP seized approximately 843lbs. of marijuana from a truck in Nofolk County Sunday. A 41-years-old Markam man is facing trafficking charges.

A Markham man has been charged after the Ontario Provincial Police stopped a truck in Norfolk County Sunday and found approximately 843 lbs. of marijuana inside.

 

According to the OPP, officers were conducting patrols in the area of McDowell Rd. W. around 8:28 a.m. Sunday when a vehicle attracted their attention.

 

Police stopped and searched the truck. Officers seized approximately 843 lbs of marijuana, which is worth about $405,000.

 

Markham man Xing Dong, 41, was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking marijuana. He is scheduled to appear in a Simcoe court at a later date.
